In Memoriam: Geneva Patterson

A place to share memories, photos, condolences on the passing of Geneva

Condolences from Frank and Ginny

Words cannot express our feelings at this time. Gee and Ginny were the last of their generation, and Ginny is taking Gee's passing very hard. ... Please let us know if there is anything we can do, and if there are any services for Gee in your area, all of us, the kids and Ginny and I want to make sure flowers are there. I called all of our family and they of course send their prayers and condolences. Where ever your beliefs say you are going, Gee is going to the best place. I share many memories of my early days in St. Louis where I had some great moral support and exc ellent assistance as I became a part of the family. Stay strong, and please, please, let us stay in touch

Note from Frank VK

Someday you and I can sit with a cold, tall drink and compare notes on oxygen and feeding and changing and washing and escorting around and answering each and every wish of those who need us. We have become "compadres". Hang in there, and things will get even more chaotic and hectic; but you have already proven you are strong enough to handle what comes. I feel for you and wish I could come up there and weed the peonies, and what not.

Help! All set up but does not work.

Welcome to the pages for GENEVA PATTERSON

Friends and family have been active on Facebook, and it's been great to share messages there.  But Facebook is here today, gone tomorrow, and I'd like to have a more lasting record.  I hope family and friends will share thoughts here.  Much like funeral parlors' online condolence pages, but with more possibilities for sharing photos and thoughts, this blog is devoted to G.

How to Participate

If you're on Facebook, I'll have tried to set up a user account for you.  Log in with your first name, written as you normally capitalize it: like Ron, or JoAnn.  Your password is your Facebook email address (or address you've used to write me personally) with an exclamation point both before and after, like !pat@patp.us!  ALL lower case, no matter how you might sometimes write it.

If I don't have your email address, I couldn't sign you up, so please try signing up yourself (I'll have to shut that down if I can't block spammers) - if you have trouble, send me email and I'll make the account for you.

Ready to log in, if you so choose: Ananda, Andrew, Angela, Arne, Barbara, Beth, Bob, Bryan, Carlie, Chris, Christy, Dawn, Diana, Don, Erin, Flori, Frank, Gunilla, Jamie, Jan, Jasmine, Jay, Jerry, Jill, JoAnn, Judith, Kristian, Margaret, Marguerite, Pat, Patrick, Raynell, Rob, Ron, Samantha, Stacy, Sue.  I don't have email for Keaton or Jaimie.

I've taken the liberty ...

of copying Facebook messages over here.  After all, you'd all already put them online.  You can log in and edit or remove what you want.

I cannot get this version of BlogEngine to play nicely with the site pages I've had for Geneva's artwork. After endless attempts, I have set those pages up on my own (genealogy) site. Better there than nowhere.
